What is Fino.lk?
Fino.lk is an online lending platform, which helps you to get a loan quickly to cover unexpected expenses. More information is available here.
Who can apply for a loan?
To apply for a Fino.lk loan you must be:
  • Sri Lanka citizen;
  • 20 - 65 years old;
  • Employed or with regular source of income.

What is first Loan Promo?
In Fino.lk, the first loan from 20 000 LKR is for free. You will see final amount and the offer in last application step. This is a promotion offered specifically for our new customers. The first Loan Promo is provided with discount only if it is repaid on time.
What is needed to get a loan from Fino.lk?
To obtain a loan from Fino.lk you only need to have a valid NIC and an active mobile phone number.
How big is the interest rate and service fee?
You will be well informed about the interest rate and service fee of the loan before confirming the loan agreement.
How long will it take to process my loan application?
After you submit your loan application, we will notify you immediately on the application status or we will contact you in case of additional questions.

Application processing time can vary from 10 minutes to 1 working day during our working hours.
How will I know if my loan is approved?
You will receive an SMS notification from Fino.lk that your loan application was approved. You can view the status of loan application in your Fino.lk account.
I did not receive a loan approval notification from Fino.lk. What can I do?
Please contact Fino.lk Customer Care, you can find more info here.
How will I receive my loan?
You can claim your loan via Bank Account transfer (you must be the Bank Account holder).
Is it possible to get an additional loan amount on top of my existing loan?
Yes, if you have an available loan limit, you can get an additional amount on top of the existing loan by submitting an application through your Fino.lk account.

How can I repay the loan?
The loan repayment is easy and convientient via:
  • Payments via bank branches (Via branch Counter and Cash Deposit Machines)
  • Fund transfer through any Bank
  • Pay & Go Kiosks

How can I check the loan due date and the amount to pay?
You can find all the details of the loan terms through your Fino.lk account.
What if I cannot pay the entire loan amount on time?
No worries, fino.lk offers an option to extend your loan terms for 7, 14 or 30 days.

More info about extending the loan terms can be found by logging into your Fino.lk account.
What should I do if I made the payment, but did not receive the SMS confirmation?
Take into account that payment receiving into our system might depend on bank transfer speed.

How to find the Loan agreement number?

You can find your Loan agreement number in the top part of your Loan agreement which will be sent via email upon disbursement, or you can access your loan agreement in your personal account on the fino.lk web page.

Using Smartphone: Log in to fino.lk with your user credentials and select “My loan” from the menu. Your Loan agreement number will be visible there.


Using Personal Computer: Log in to fino.lk with your user credentials and select “My debt” from the menu. Your Loan agreement number will be visible there.

How to extend your Loan?

You can find your Loan due date extension fee in your personal account on the fino.lk web page.

Using Smartphone: Log in to fino.lk with your user credentials and select “My loan” from the menu. Your loan extension fee for 7 days, 14 days and 30 days will be visible there.

Using Personal Computer: Log in to fino.lk with your user credentials and select “My loan” from the menu. Your loan extension fee for 7 days, 14 days and 30 days will be visible there.

* You need to pay the exact amount indicated in your personal account. If the transferred amount is not sufficient for 30-day, 14-day or 7-day extension, it will be allocated as partial loan repayment. In such cases, all fees according to the loan agreement, including late payment fee for the overdue loan amount, will continue to accumulate.

What information should I provide when making payment?
You must mention your Loan agreement number and your National Identity Card number (NIC) when making a payment via any payment channel.

Note: Each time a payment is made, please make sure that your Loan agreement number/NIC number is clearly visible on a clear picture of the payment receipt and uploaded to fino.lk/payments. Please type the paid date according to the format (dd/mm/yyyy) and type the NIC number which is registered with us while uploading the slip.
Can I repay the loan earlier?
Yes, you can repay the loan anytime before the due date.

Other Questions

I forgot my password. How can I recover it?
In order to recover your password, go to fino.lk and press the Login button in the upper right corner of the page.

You will be taken to the login page and click on Forgot password.

You will be asked to enter the mobile phone number and we will send you a verification code to your phone number to proceed.

You will be asked to set up and confirm a new login password for your Fino.lk account to complete.
How can I change my registered phone number or email?
If you have changed your mobile number or your email address, it is necessary to complete several simple steps to update this information in your Fino.lk account Profile Settings.
How can I delete or suspend my account?

If you wish to suspend your account, please send an email to info@fino.lk with the following details:

  • Full name: As per the NIC
  • Phone number: Associated with the account
  • Reason for suspension: A clear statement specifying the reason for the request

What Happens If I Suspend My Account?

Your account will be suspended. If you need a new account, you can create one as a new client without any historical data from your previous account.

How Will I Know If My Request Has Been Processed?

Once your account is successfully suspended, you will receive an email confirmation.
